Since I like lists, I decided to do this post in list format. In no particular order, here are 28 things I’ve learned about myself and about life in general (through many trials and tribulations):
- Resisting change just brings stress. Nothing lasts forever. Change is the only constant. Accept the things you can’t change and let the rest flow. Don’t fight it.
- A dream without a plan will forever remain a dream. Make a plan and get to work! Your dreams won’t manifest on their own. Vision boards only do so much.
- Work with yourself, not against your natural tendencies. For example; I’m the most creative and have the most inspiration first thing in the morning before I start my day. Since I’ve discovered this about myself, I do my best to block out 1–3 hours every morning and devote those hours to writing and nothing else. Then the rest of my day is free for work / responsibilities or one of my many creative hobbies. In a similar vein, I will never be a runner. I can’t do it. It’s not me. I can exercise in a way that’s fun for me so I’ll actually workout. The method that works and that I love? Dancing. I’ll always love dancing, and it’s a great workout, both cardio…
