Inspired by my teacher Mrs. Foreman, and first and last lines taken from the famous Whatif poem by Shel Silverstein, marked by quotations.

“Last night while I lay thinking here,

Some What-If’s crawled inside my ear

And pranced and partied all night long

And sang their same old What-If song:”

What if the booger up my nose grows and grows?

What if I get to school late?

What if I never graduate?

What if there are monsters under my bed?

What if I can’t lift my big head?

What if I lose my new bike?

What if I say something that doesn’t sound right?

What if my house gets bombed tonight?

What if I lose my sight?

What if my house goes up in flames?

What if my tooth goes down one of the drains?

What if I get cancer?

What if my boyfriend’s not a good dancer?
